Bee Girl, that’s me.
Hey Y’all, my name is Kasey. I live in Austin, Texas working as a cat scan technologist. Most of my life was spent in Ohio where I grew up barrelracing. I decided to make the move down south in 2015 and it was the best decision of my life. I was made for the sunshine, live music and breakfast tacos!
I haven’t mentioned it yet but I am a HUGE Pearl Jam fan. I recall listening in my youth but I didn’t become a diehard fan until 2012. My first show was Cincinnati 2014 and I’ve been hooked ever since.
in 2016 I attended 10 shows! Of course at the shows I would meet up with friends but I became very confident in traveling alone and this led to my solo journeys not involving Pearl Jam. Now here I am taking trips I never dreamed of. Not long ago I couldn’t locate half of the places on a map. It can be intimidating visiting a new country especially after watching the news but I encourage you to overcome your fears and book the trip. You’ll learn that the world is a big place full of more love than hate. You’ll become thankful for the small things such as a hot shower or access to clean drinking water.
The most common misconception I’ve encountered is that traveling isn’t safe. There are dangerous places everywhere you go; home and abroad. You will find there are good people that will tell you the difference. Between that and a little research on blogs like this you’re as safe across the world as you are two miles from your home.
I hope my stories urge others to travel the world. Enjoy my wild ride of music, new friendships and new cultural experiences.
